Hanson has appealed against the refusal

Hanson has appealed against Oxfordshire County Council's refusal to grant planning permission to extract sand and gravel from Stonehenge Farm.

The Appeal reference number at the Planning Inspectorate is "APP/U3100/A/09/2107573/NWF". Unfortunately the service for access to information about specific planning appeals is disgracefully inaccessible to users of Macintosh and Linux-based operating systems, and even it seems to users of Mozilla Firefox on any system whatever.

The Family Fundraising Event on Saturday 22 November was a great success. Northmoor Village Hall looked fantastic. Many thanks to Steve Good and his team for donating the delicious food, to everyone who contributed puddings, time, and energy, to Tony Meering for the disco, Matthew Hare for the Shirley Temple Bar, Stuart Cope for printing tickets, posters and flyers for the event and for OUTRAGE publicity, and to Gai Coleman for bringing the whole thing together.

And of course so many have helped - Emma Hare and Jane Dodds brought Stanton Harcourt, Sutton and Standlake into the campaign. There isn't space to thank everyone by name for selling raffle tickets and helping to make the evening such a success, and anyway we couldn't thank them enough.

Finally our special thanks go to everyone who gave prizes for the raffle and donations to the cause.
